1. TITLE

1.1) The hired goods shall always remain the property of Samuel Ridge London Ltd, and the customer shall have no right, title or equitable interest in the Equipment or any part thereof.

1.2) The risk of loss, theft, damage or destruction of the equipment shall be passed onto the Customer from the time the equipment leaves the premises of the owner. The equipment shall remain at the sole risk of the customer during the Rental Period whether the equipment is being delivered or collected by the customer, assigned representative or courier service.

2. CARE OF HIRE GOODS

2.1) The customer shall give immediate notice in the event the equipment is lost, stolen or damaged under the customer's possession.

2.2) The customer shall not tamper or in any way interfere with the working mechanisms or any other parts that may compromise the operational integrity of the equipment.

2.3) The customer shall take reasonable care of the hired goods and only use them for their proper purpose in a safe and correct manner.

2.4) The customer shall take adequate and proper measures to protect the hire goods from theft, damage and/or other risks.

2.5) The hire goods must be returned by the customer in good working order and in the same condition that they were in prior to the hire (excluding fair wear and tear).

2.6) The customer acknowledges that they have suitable knowledge and experience to identify the correct equipment. It is the customer's responsibility to any loss or damage caused arising out of the inability to use equipment and materials supplied.

3. RENTAL PERIOD

3.1) The Rental Period commences from the time the equipment is made available to the customer or leaves the premises of Samuel Ridge London Ltd. The Rental Period is terminated when the equipment is returned.

3.2) The Rental Period may be extended by mutual written agreement of both parties. The extended Rental Period shall be charged at a daily rate irrespective of any reduction or discount that may have been negotiated on the original booking.

3.3) If the Rental Period has not been extended in accordance with clause 3.2 and the equipment is not returned on the agreed date set out in the booking the Customer will be charged at a daily rate irrespective of any reduction or discount that may have been negotiated on the original booking.

3.4) In the event that the equipment or any part of it is lost, stolen or damaged during the Period of Hire, the customer will be liable to pay the owner for the full replacement value or cost of repair including additional expenses.

3.5) Collection or return of equipment using a third-party courier service shall incur a service charge in accordance with clause 6.3 Equipment shall not be collected or delivered using a third-party courier service without prior written agreement by the owner. Such collection or delivery must be arranged with a reputable courier service at the risk and expense of the customer.

4. CONDITION OF EQUIPMENT

4.1) The equipment shall be inspected by the customer upon collection to determine whether the equipment is complete in accordance with the booking and is in good condition.

4.2) The customer is to charge all batteries and format all media prior to use. The Owner may ensure batteries are charged upon written request before the Period of Rental commences.

4.3) The customer is to examine and test the equipment before being taken into use, any malfunction or shortages of the equipment must be reported to the owner prior to use. Defective or deficient equipment will be replaced or remedied by the owner without additional charge.

5. DEPOSIT

5.1) For certain items or first-time renters the Owner may require the customer to pay a Deposit as a pre-condition of Acceptance for the Equipment to be Hired. The amount of the Deposit shall be as stated in clause 6.1.

5.2) Deposit shall be paid prior to collection to the Owner by either cash or bank transfer. The Owner may, at their discretion, apply such Deposit as a credit against late return fee or any cost occurred from loss or damage.

6. FEES AND CHARGES

6.1) Holding Deposit £100 unless agreed otherwise.

6.2) Out of hours collection/return charge between £20 and £50 on the condition of availability.

6.3) Courier collection/return handling charge £10

7. CANCELLATIONS

7.1) If notice of cancellation is submitted up to 48 hours prior to the Rental Period start time then a full refund will be given.

7.2) If notice of cancellation is submitted less than 24 hours prior to the Rental Period start time then no refund or a maximum of a 2-day rate will be charged (minus platform service fees).

7.3) If notice of cancellation is submitted within 48 hours and 24 hours prior to the Rental Period start time then 50% refund or a maximum of a single day rate will be charged (minus platform service fees).
